The Trigger Job
So. We have two options. The first is what we call the sweet spot, and that's where your trigger naturally wants to go, and where it's going to feel best. It's going to land between 2 and 2.5lbs, and it will feel great. This pull weight range is safe for this trigger group, it's light enough for target shooting, but not so light as to be unsafe for a beginning shooter, or a hunter. If you have a specific weight in mind (for example, you want it as light as it will go) feel free to make a note of that on your order when you send it in, and we will see what your trigger can do to accommodate that.
Click on the image at the top of the page with all of the triggers, to see the available color choices. We are a Cerakote Certified applicator, and every trigger is coated here in house. These are the colors we commonly stock, but in the future there will be options for truly custom colors. We have edited the above image to appear as true as possible in color to the finished product, but understand that there could be slight variations on color from one batch to the next, or when displayed on different monitors. If you are getting other parts Cerakoted, it is always best to do everything at the same time, so that the colors all match exactly.

You just can't put a price on customer service, can you? I wanted a couple additional tweaks on two tier 2 triggers I got recently. However picky you think you are about triggers, I promise these guys are pickier. They fixed the issues I asked about for free and paid the additional shipping to send em back to me. Go Brimstone.
The trigger work brings me back for more, but the customer service inspired a written review. David called me this week when a fluke accident dinged my trigger housing. To avoid comitting him in the future, I won't tell you l
how he compensated me. Suffice to say, there were multiple options, all of which were more than satisfying. I don't know how this outfit keeps the small business love when they're so popular, but I hope it lasts.
I’ve purchased 5 of these, and will continue to for every 10/22 I buy. Excellent trigger, if you like Ruger’s BX trigger you’ll love this
I got a 10/22 when I was 15 years old for Christmas and plinked and hunted with it every chance I got. As I got to be a more experienced shooter, I realized the trigger was horribly heavy and crunchy and long, so I didn't shoot it as much. I decided to send the aluminum group to Brimstone and, amazingly, brimstone had it back at my house in Alabama 8 days after it left. The trigger is fantastic: a smooth, light takeup and a Super clean break with hardly any overtravel and a quick reset. Love the work Brimstone did at a very affordable price and would send them another trigger in a heartbeat. Thank you Brimstone
I was a novice rifle shooter 2 1/2 years ago. I decided to take the Appleseed course to upgrade my skills and I set up a basic 10/22 for that purpose with a sling, low-power scope for my older eyes, and a Brimstone Tier2 trigger.
The Appleseed instructors were excellent, and the amazing Brimstone trigger enabled me to go from near the bottom of the first day scores to the top by the end of the second day. I was made an offer for that rifle and sold it.
I've now just replaced it with a
10/22 Magpul Takedown and the only change it needed was to get a Tier2 trigger into it.
Done. Wonderful, as before. Thanks, Brimstone. No regrets, NONE.
I own several 10/22s with different trigger jobs. But this is the best. Awesome service, quick turnaround, and a trigger that is a pleasure to shoot. Thanks Brimstone!!!!
Sent in my 20 year old, but lightly used, aluminum trigger group and received a fantastic 2lb 3oz trigger that is perfect for me. 1/16" take-up and another 1/16" to a clean break. The auto bold release works for me and is a nice extra. Thank you Brimstone, I am very happy with your work.
I built up a 10/22 target rifle over the winter. The project started with a used 80's vintage stock carbine with a horrendous trigger. I knew the first thing I wanted to replace was the trigger group, but I didn't want to spend a ton of money. I bought a NOS polymer TG and sent it off to Brimstone for a tier 2 trigger rework. My "sweet spot" was a little over 2 lbs. The gun is now a joy to shoot. Very little takeup, a clean break, and an equally short reset. The bolt release mod is extra handy as well.Customer support was great. I wanted to have the TG Cerakoted while it was at Brimstone, but the color I wanted wasn't listed in the dropdown (but was listed elsewhere on the site). I emailed Brimstone and within a couple days they had updated the website. My order took approximately 4 weeks to fulfill, but included work to a receiver as well.
Have heard of this before but never used them. Got a new 10/22 to build into a speed gun with a plastic TG and decided this may be the way to go. Tier 2. Turnaround was faster than advertised, trigger was far better than expected. I've reworked triggers before. And yeah, this is like something you just buy as a complete group. It in no way resembles a stock trigger guard with some polishing or anything. Ordered "sweet spot". Came back 2lb, 4oz. Break is better than you will ever get from a drop in kit. I have a Kidd single stage in another rifle. Yes its 1.5lbs and breaks clean, but for $200, in hindsight I'd got with a Brimstone job all day over that. Its just not that much better to justify it. If you are looking at it and on the fence, just do it. If you want a sub 1lb trigger, then got drop dime and get a Kidd 2 stage. They are different animals. Got another 10-22 for my kids not long after and immediately sent the TG off to Brimstone for another tier 2. Anyone giving less than 5 stars was expecting a $300 trigger. If you bought this as a complete group, the quality should run you at least $150. Yes, its that good.
