This is a trigger job on YOUR trigger group!! You are not buying new parts here.

You check out, ship us your group, and we will work our magic on it and ship it back. Seriously. We aren't shipping you a new group. You laugh, but at least five people a month do not read this.

This trigger job will work on the factory 10/22 trigger groups (metal or plastic), BX trigger groups, and the TCR trigger groups. If you have any questions about that, please let me know!

The Trigger Job
This trigger work has everything the basic trigger job has, so it's not a bad idea to at least skim the page to get some idea of what we are doing here. This job literally picks up where the basic trigger job stops. All of the same polishing/fitting/tuning happens exactly the same, but this job adds a couple of parts. Primarily, you are getting one of our billet aluminum CNC machined triggers. This trigger is going to feel slightly wider under your finger than the factory one, as it has a more flat profile than the factory trigger.

The real point, however, is that it allows the installation of an internal, torsion-type, trigger return spring mounted on the trigger itself. This torsion spring system has no moving or sliding parts (unlike the factory plunger) which allows us to get the take up and the reset silky smooth. The hole for the original trigger return spring is then drilled out, tapped, and an overtravel stop is installed in that hole. This is a much cleaner and more solid method than the screw through the trigger design.  The overtravel stop makes the trigger feel vastly more crisp, and theoretically improves accuracy.

If you are more serious about your shooting or interested in competing, but still working within a budget, this is the job for you. It will result in an excellent trigger pull for a fraction of the cost of a full after market group. Of course, there are bragging rights and a custom look which come with a billet CNC'ed trigger housing, which is certainly something to consider. That said, it's hard to replace a little time and skill in hand fitting with any number of shiny after market parts, and we can often produce a better trigger pull than most of the aftermarket groups. It's not surprising really, you're not paying us to produce parts, just polish and fit them. Most of the big companies have a ton of money invested in the tooling to produce these custom pieces, so to keep costs down they have to produce them in large numbers. By just re-working the factory parts, we can invest the time needed to really fit and polish the parts as they should be, and still keep the overall cost down.

Pull Weight
We only offer the 'Sweet Spot' trigger pull weight now. This is where your trigger naturally wants to be. It will be between 2 and 2.5lbs. After 13 years of doing this... I'm done trying to convince a trigger to go somewhere it doesn't want to be, which always hurts the reliability to boot.

Trigger colors
In an effort to cut down on the lead time issues related to stocking over two dozen colors of triggers and accessories, we are now stocking only our most popular colors of triggers. We will have limited editions of triggers pop up throughout the year, so if you're looking for something unique, keep an eye out for that.

THE AUTO BOLT RELEASE MODIFICATION
There is a little metal tab on the bottom of the trigger housing, towards the front of the trigger guard. If you hold the bolt to the rear, push up on this tab, and let the bolt forward, it will lock the bolt open. This is used as a safety on ranges that require the action to be open when the range is 'cold', or for when you are cleaning the barrel. To close the bolt however, you need three hands. One to hold the rifle, one to pull back on the bolt, and the third to press up on that tab and somehow rotate it to the rear. It's a pain, and not exactly safe if you have a loaded magazine inserted. Our modification makes it so you still lock the action open exactly the same as before, but to close the bolt you just pull back slightly on the charging handle and let it go, just like you do with any other semi-auto firearm. The hold back will drop out of the way on it's own when you pull back on the charging handle, without you touching the bolt release. This is NOT a last round hold open! No 10/22 built has a last round hold open from the factory. There is one company making them, Google it if you have more questions. We don't carry or install the part.

    Trigger work

Haven't installed yet but just feeling the trigger break w/no over-rated is miles ahead from what I sent in.

    Great work

Posted by Paul Taylor on Mar 8th 2024

Bought a BX trigger and wasn’t happy. Felt like trash compared even to stock trigger. Saw Brimstone trigger work recommended on a forum and decided to give it a try. Despite long lead time, it’s been absolutely worth it. Instantly notice how much better it is. Feels extremely crisp. I believe Brimstone could charge a lot more for this work, it’s truly amazing what they can do to the original trigger group to get it feeling this good. 10/10 would recommend.

    Standard Trigger Job

Posted by Michael P. on Mar 7th 2024

Once again, Brimstone went above and beyond expectations with the two triggers we sent in. As long as they keep accepting work, they'll be doing the triggers on all my future 10/22 projects.

    BX Trigger work

Posted by Jake on Feb 28th 2024

As others have stated expect to wait a bit for a superior product at a good price. I ordered a new BX trigger housing with the trigger job to allow me to keep using my existing trigger, knowing that these can take some time to turn around. From ordering to my mailbox was ~4 weeks. I've now got it installed and Just spent some time dry firing my rifle. It is WAY better than the factory setup which I had tried to polish back in high school (still ~5 lbs). It has a little take up and then a crisp 1.5 lb break. I'm excited to try it out at the next match, should really help.

BRIMSTONE STANDARD 10/22 TRIGGER JOB (OLD TIER 2)

Posted by Joshua on Feb 26th 2024

I'm truly amazed by the change. Almost seems impossible how much improvement there is. I'm so glad I went this route rather than buy an expensive aftermarket trigger. This turned out far better than I could have hoped for.

The trigger could not be any better. They were a little backed up but it was worth the wait.

    Great trigger on metal housing

Posted by Steven on Sep 14th 2023

Great work on my metal trigger housing, nice, clean and crisp trigger. Not a knock on Brimstone, but just providing my timeline for those who are thinking about it. Sent trigger on 8/2, and it was received on 8/8, and then I got it back on 9/14. Received positive updates/responses when checking in on the progress. In the end for me, didn't matter if turnaround time was the next day, or this, as long as I had it before small game opener (9/16). Worth the wait and $? Definitely.

    10/22 tier 2 upgrade

Posted by Tom Butler on Aug 26th 2023

Sent my existing trigger on 8/8 and is was in my mailbox on 8/21 with return paperwork stating " Trigger finished just under 2lbs, very clean, no issues ". Very impressive . I had used a BX25 on another build , Brimstone is the right choice no question in my mind..
