Preorder available now: After much work and anticipation, our new 10/22 trigger work is online! We are offering a limited number of pre orders here. The initial run of parts is in production, but we wanted to launch something on 10/22 day, so here you go. We expect the parts to be ready for install middle of November, so if your trigger is here by then, yours will be the first completed.

History: For 13 years now, we have been reworking factory 10/22 triggers. You shipped us your trigger, we modified the internals, and shipped it back. We have done hundreds of thousands of them over the years, shipped from all over the world. But the real problem is, we were trying to convince factory parts to perform in a way they were never intended to perform. Sometimes they did great, other times... not so much.

The solution was to manufacture our own parts, and that's what we've done here.

The Parts: The hammer and sear are machined from billet tool steel, heat treated, then hand finished and polished as needed. This kit uses our own proprietary disconnector design, allowing it to be installed in either a standard 10/22 or a BX trigger group. It also gives you a very fast, smooth, and positive trigger reset.

The hammer and sear are cut with our proprietary engagement, resulting in a very light, safe, and consistent trigger break.

As all of our triggers have had, the trigger shoe is our Cerakoted billet aluminum trigger. It uses a torsion spring on the trigger itself, and the factory trigger return hole will be drilled out and an overtravel stop will be installed there. This looks very clean, and works incredibly well, eliminating all the terrible crunching and binding of the factory trigger return system.

This will all result in an incredibly clean and reliable single stage trigger at roughly 1.75lbs, possibly a little lighter. The reset will also be incredibly quick, positive, and short, ideal for any action shooting sports like steel challenge.

The Future: These parts will ONLY be available as our trigger work for the first several months at least. In the future, we expect that they will be available as a drop in trigger kit, but for right now we want to personally install every one. We expect that once they are available as a drop in kit, we will still have the 'trigger work' option available.

This will be a fairly small batch of parts available as a presale now. Once this sale is gone, they wont be available again until all the presales have been installed and we have more new parts in stock.

THE AUTO BOLT RELEASE MODIFICATION

There is a little metal tab on the bottom of the trigger housing, towards the front of the trigger guard. If you hold the bolt to the rear, push up on this tab, and let the bolt forward, it will lock the bolt open. This is used as a safety on ranges that require the action to be open when the range is 'cold', or for when you are cleaning the barrel. To close the bolt however, you need three hands. One to hold the rifle, one to pull back on the bolt, and the third to press up on that tab and somehow rotate it to the rear. It's a pain, and not exactly safe if you have a loaded magazine inserted. Our modification makes it so you still lock the action open exactly the same as before, but to lower it, you just pull back slightly on the bolt and let it go, just like you do with any other semi-auto firearm. The hold back will drop out of the way on it's own when you pull back on the bolt, without you touching it. This is NOT a last round hold open! No 10/22 built has a last round hold open from the factory. There is one company making them, Google it if you have more questions. We don't carry or install the part.

Awesome out of the box trigger upgrade package, 25 yd and 50 yd group size cut in half, now shooting 10 rd dime sized groups at 25 yd and quarter sized 5 rd groups at 50 yd. Worth every dollar on this upgrade!

Have been looking off and on for years on how to improve my 10/22 trigger. Gun is a hand me down so wasn’t interested in spending a lot with all the high priced options. EXTREMELY happy I stumbled upon Brimstone Gunsmithing. The original trigger was so heavy I would frequently think I had left the safety on when trying to get a precise shot off. Nope…just that horrible, heavy trigger again. Got my reworked trigger pack back and was blown away. Completely exceeded my expectations in every way. Chose the “sweet spot” option and it settled at 2.1 according to the included note from the tech. Light, crisp and beautiful in every possible way and getting the bolt hold open mod is just the icing on the cake. You will NOT be disappointed…take it from an extremely satisfied customer.

Two basic trigger jobs done by Brimstone. Sweet spot weights came back at 2.3 and 2.1. At my beginner level this is sweet deal and better than I deserve. Took about one month including shipping time. Very pleased.
