This is a trigger job on YOUR trigger group!! You are not buying new parts here.

You check out, ship us your group, and we will work our magic on it and ship it back. Seriously. We aren't shipping you a new group. You laugh, but at least five people a month do not read this.

This trigger job will work on the factory 10/22 trigger groups (metal or plastic), BX trigger groups, and the TCR trigger groups. If you have any questions about that, please let me know!

The Trigger Job
This trigger work has everything the basic trigger job has, so it's not a bad idea to at least skim the page to get some idea of what we are doing here. This job literally picks up where the basic trigger job stops. All of the same polishing/fitting/tuning happens exactly the same, but this job adds a couple of parts. Primarily, you are getting one of our billet aluminum CNC machined triggers. This trigger is going to feel slightly wider under your finger than the factory one, as it has a more flat profile than the factory trigger.

The real point, however, is that it allows the installation of an internal, torsion-type, trigger return spring mounted on the trigger itself. This torsion spring system has no moving or sliding parts (unlike the factory plunger) which allows us to get the take up and the reset silky smooth. The hole for the original trigger return spring is then drilled out, tapped, and an overtravel stop is installed in that hole. This is a much cleaner and more solid method than the screw through the trigger design.  The overtravel stop makes the trigger feel vastly more crisp, and theoretically improves accuracy.

If you are more serious about your shooting or interested in competing, but still working within a budget, this is the job for you. It will result in an excellent trigger pull for a fraction of the cost of a full after market group. Of course, there are bragging rights and a custom look which come with a billet CNC'ed trigger housing, which is certainly something to consider. That said, it's hard to replace a little time and skill in hand fitting with any number of shiny after market parts, and we can often produce a better trigger pull than most of the aftermarket groups. It's not surprising really, you're not paying us to produce parts, just polish and fit them. Most of the big companies have a ton of money invested in the tooling to produce these custom pieces, so to keep costs down they have to produce them in large numbers. By just re-working the factory parts, we can invest the time needed to really fit and polish the parts as they should be, and still keep the overall cost down.

Pull Weight
We only offer the 'Sweet Spot' trigger pull weight now. This is where your trigger naturally wants to be. It will be between 2 and 2.5lbs. After 13 years of doing this... I'm done trying to convince a trigger to go somewhere it doesn't want to be, which always hurts the reliability to boot.

Trigger colors
In an effort to cut down on the lead time issues related to stocking over two dozen colors of triggers and accessories, we are now stocking only our most popular colors of triggers. We will have limited editions of triggers pop up throughout the year, so if you're looking for something unique, keep an eye out for that.

THE AUTO BOLT RELEASE MODIFICATION
There is a little metal tab on the bottom of the trigger housing, towards the front of the trigger guard. If you hold the bolt to the rear, push up on this tab, and let the bolt forward, it will lock the bolt open. This is used as a safety on ranges that require the action to be open when the range is 'cold', or for when you are cleaning the barrel. To close the bolt however, you need three hands. One to hold the rifle, one to pull back on the bolt, and the third to press up on that tab and somehow rotate it to the rear. It's a pain, and not exactly safe if you have a loaded magazine inserted. Our modification makes it so you still lock the action open exactly the same as before, but to close the bolt you just pull back slightly on the charging handle and let it go, just like you do with any other semi-auto firearm. The hold back will drop out of the way on it's own when you pull back on the charging handle, without you touching the bolt release. This is NOT a last round hold open! No 10/22 built has a last round hold open from the factory. There is one company making them, Google it if you have more questions. We don't carry or install the part.

Best Gun Upgrade I’ve Ever Spent Money On!!

Posted by Dave on Apr 2nd 2021

I’m highly impressed with the work Brimstone did on my 10/22 trigger. It had the worst factory trigger I’ve ever had on a rifle. It now has ZERO creep, a perfect, light, clean “glass rod” break, and no overtravel. I also love the feel and look of the new semi-flat trigger face. It’s perfect! This was by far the best $85 I’ve ever spent on a gun upgrade!!

    Tier 2 = perfection!!!

Posted by John M Jones on Apr 2nd 2021

My Ruger stock trigger is the standard polymer-bodied 2021 version which admittedly did operate fine. Except it had a lot of movement and not much feel. Now after Brimstone did the Tier 2 work trigger movement is very smooth with minimal pre-travel before hitting a solid wall. Then a VERY crisp “glass rod” break with no over-travel. Perfection! My trigger measured 2 lbs 4 oz at the “sweet spot”. This is not the same trigger anymore, it is so improved in every way. I feel I can shoot faster, not only because the trigger resets quicker so I can fire the next round but also cause there is no trigger delay due to a “mushy” feeling trigger anymore. This Tier 2 trigger fires precisely the moment you want it to. Speeds up tracking shots tremendously. Very happy and would recommend to anyone. Sent trigger March 5 came back March 28. 3weeks, faster then even Brimstone estimated (4+weeks). Shot almost 300 rounds so far and no issues with the work Brimstone did. Updated bolt release Brimstone adds worked well too.

    Awesome trigger work

Posted by Daniel Shaw on Mar 23rd 2021

The trigger was always a weak link on the custom 10/22 I built. I haven't shot it yet, but the trigger feels fantastic and has no creep any longer. Y'all provide a great alternative to spending a ton of money on a high end aftermarket trigger group!

TIER 2 (INTERMEDIATE) 10/22 TRIGGER WORK

Posted by Dale Farr on Mar 21st 2021

Could not be happier. Had the intermediate work done to my factory trigger. The triggers is smooth with a nice clean break at 2lb 3oz. The bolt lock and extended mag release are the perfect combination. Makes the 10/22 a great little gun.

    Tier 2 trigger

Posted by Ron C. on Mar 20th 2021

I had the Tier 2 trigger work done on my factory 10/22 trigger group. Communications were good. They let me know as soon as they received my piece, kept me informed along the way and shipped the completed job back to me promptly. I am very happy with the feel of the trigger now. I was worried it would be a "hair trigger", but it is actually just right. I am very happy with the end result. Thank you!
