To simplify things, we are rolling this into our 'Standard' 10/22 trigger work, what was our old Tier 2. The work is exactly the same whether is a factory group, a BX group, or a Thompson TCR group. A factory group will finish around 2-2.5lbs, a TCR group will finish around 2lbs, and a BX group will finish around 1.5-2lbs. Otherwise, all the pricing and options are identical. We still have the product description here, but feel free to click on the link below to order the trigger work. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions or feedback as we are trying to clean things up around here!

(PLEASE NOTE! At this point it is our understanding that this modification will not work with the Tactical Solutions rifles. It is our understanding that the X-Ring ships with a BX trigger group, but it requires that all of the factory overtravel be left in the trigger to function reliably. Our standard work dials out the overtravel, and that may cause a failure to reset when installed in an X-Ring rifle. There have been zero reports with this issue when 1) This work is installed in any other rifle or 2) When any of our other trigger work is installed in an X-Ring. That is because of the different disconnector design on the BX trigger groups. If you want to make this work you may be able to adjust the overtravel screw to a point where it functions in your X-Ring, but that is not something we can guaranty.)

Presenting the only billet aluminum trigger and full trigger work available for the BX trigger that we are aware of at this point!

If you're familiar with our trigger work, this is basically our Tier 2 trigger work performed on the BX trigger group. It's a huge improvement over the standard Tier 2 triggers however because the internal geometry on these groups is completely different than on the factory triggers. That's why we have to machine a separate type of trigger, and why you aren't seeing a ton of other options on the market just yet.

When we initially launched this service, we were getting trigger pull weights down to 1lb. However long term testing proved that they were not as reliable as the 1.5lb pull weight. It wasn't a ton that failed, but more than we would like to see, so as a result, the 1.5lb pull weight is the only option for these triggers. It's actually fairly difficult to get them up to 2lbs, so that's also not an option unless you absolutely need to have it for some reason. But we can do that with the standard 10/22 group, so you're basically wasting a BX trigger.

This trigger work will finish out with just a little bit of pre travel, a solid wall, very crisp break, with minimal overtravel and a short reset. After doing dozens of standard 10/22 groups over the course of a day, when I get to do a BX trigger I'm always blown away by how much better the BX feels.

(Again, because of the unique internal geometry that these triggers have, we cannot perform a Tier 1 type of trigger work, and remove the pre travel. This basic BX trigger job will result in surprisingly little pre travel, but it will still be there)

As with our other trigger work, to order you just add the item to your cart, and check out as you would with anything else online. You'll get an emailed confirmation which will have all of the shipping and packaging information. If possible, print out that email and include it with your trigger group when you send it in. You'll get an email when it arrives, and another when we ship it back.

Thanks for looking! If you have any other questions, just let us know via the 'Contact Us' tab, or email Info@BrimstoneGunsmithing.com.

    Brimstone BX-1 trigger work

Posted by Tech on Sep 11th 2019

Sent in my Thompson TC/R 22 trigger group. Brimstone got this down to a smooth 2lbs pull and quicker reset. Very happy with the work would recommend to anyone wanting to make a Thompson trigger. equal to other aftermarket 10/22 triggers

    Very happy

I sent off my BX trigger to Brimstone for work based on all of the recommendations for their work online. I am not disappointed. My trigger came back at 1lb 6oz, zero creep and extremely minimal overtravel. Turnaround time was just about four weeks from the time I mailed it until I had it back in my hands and it was worth the wait. Very happy with the work and it has been very good value for money as compared to the competition. No complaints and if I build another 10/22 it will have a Brimstone trigger in it also.

    Pretty good

Amazing trigger, but only after I did some final sanding using 1400 and 2000 grit paper and some polishing to the hammer, sear and disconnector to the point of having a mirror shine on all their contacts (with Mother's aluminum polish). Brimstone sent the trigger back saying it was now a 1.9 pound trigger but it was more like 2.2 - 2.4 lbs. Them applying mystery grease to some newly sanded contact points then calling it a day was in a way, a little insulting for the money (seeing as how they boast about having 1.5 lb. trigger pull). Anyway I now have it at 1.7 to 1.8 pounds. About a millimeter of soft creep followed by a solid glass wall, then SNAP! No grit or play in the pull whatsoever. It took some time but I finally have it where I like it. Any lighter and its unsuitable for hunting in my opinion. 4 stars, since for the money they could've done a much more thorough job. The installation of the extra trigger apparatus was perfectly done however.

    Bk trigger work

Night and day difference. Stock trigger group to a bk trigger then to a brimstone worked bk trigger is about the equal steps of improvement. Would highly recommend to anyone who shoots a 10/22 or tcr22.

    Outstanding

Like many things you compromise. You can have quality, speed, or price - choose 2. This was “slow” in delivery (a little under a month) but it was less that a quarter of the price of a volquartsen trigger group and every bit as good. I submitted for the tier 2 work done on a Thompson Center trigger group. Breaks at just under 2# and is just as described “a glass break.” Extremely pleased.

    As good as it gets

My trigger came back at 1.7lb and as clean of a break as you can get! A year later and close to 10,000 rds it still has a perfect break and a perfect reset. No issues at all. No reason to go with any aftermarket trigger group when the work Brimstone does is this good.

    BX Trigger work on T/CR22

Posted by David Scobbie on Apr 17th 2019

Trigger is fantastic. The note said it breaks at 1# 12oz. Feels even better than that. I used a stock Ruger BX trigger while waiting for my trigger job to return. No comparison Brimstone for the win!

    T/C R22 Trigger

Posted by Jeron Sewell on Jul 18th 2018

Thanks to the guys at Brimstone for doing a trigger job on the T/C R22 Trigger. It's very similar to the Ruger BX trigger, and they assured me it wouldn't be a problem. They did a great job! 1.75lb pull weight, a crisp break, and an excellent reset. Highly recommended, if you have one of these relatively new rifles!

    Can’t get any better!

Brimstone BX trigger work will not disappoint! 1.5lb pull weight, crisp break, zero overtravel, and positive reset! Its everything you could want in a trigger! The custom colors are also a great feature!

    Smiles for Miles!

If you are truly in pursuit of 10/22 maximum accuracy and fun, get this trigger job done! Brimstone took a normal bx-25 trigger and turned it into a work of art. With a crisp, candy cane-like break, and precise reset, the Brimstone guys got my trigger pull down to 1lb even. At first I was a little nervous about it being that light, but after a range session, I wouldn't have it any other way! With a beautiful matte red cerakoted finish (per my request), this trigger turned out better than I could have imagined. After showing my friends, and having them test it, no doubt they will be placing orders for Brimstone work as well.
